Happy hour has never been so interesting. Museum staff and guest presenters engage you in provocative conversation about art and life. Start with a drink at 5:30 p.m., and then join in a salon-style conversation in the galleries starting at 6 p.m.And here are a few of Andrey's works to get a feel of his subjects if you haven't already seen the current exhibit:You can read a bit more about this Pittsburgh-based artist on CMoA's website. His show will be up until July 24, 2011.
Andrey Avinoff, whose art is presented in the exhibition Andrey Avinoff: In Pursuit of Beauty, was also director of Carnegie Museum of Natural History. In this lively discussion, entomologist John Rawlins, paleontologist Matt Lamanna, science educator Mary Ann Steiner, exhibition curator Louise Lippincott, artist Tom Sarver, and art educators Lucy Stewart and Marilyn Russell explore the way Avinoff looked at the world.
