Art Jewelry meets Art Furniture: Chihiro Makio and Brian Ferrell at Luke and Eloy on Sept 19!

Art Jewelry meets Art Furniture: Chihiro Makio and Brian Ferrell opens on Sept 19 at Luke and Eloy (5169 Butler St) from 11am to 5pm. Sounds like anytime throughout the day you can just stop by to see the show, so come at your own leisure!

From Luke and Eloy:
Art jeweler Chihiro Makio’s “Metal Bloom!” collection meets Brian Ferrell’s sleek “New American Furniture and Tableware” in complimentary exhibits at Luke & Eloy Gallery.
Makio and Ferrell share an elegant design aesthetic that they express in very different media. Makio’s jewelry is crafted in silver with glass seed beads and sequins creating delicate forms of body ornament. Her work is extremely wearable and beautifully crafted.
Ferrell reduces his furniture designs to a few tapering lines and shapes, with surfaces that seem to float precariously above their legs. His furniture designs combine colored and natural woods, metal, and steel cable. Ferrell’s tableware plays off of the shapes of his furniture.
I've found a few more really cool works by both Ferrell and Makio that you can checkout below!
