The Sprout Fund's Hothouse on Aug 29!

You've likely heard about this from other blogs already, but this is such a great and important event to attend that it must be shared with readers of BSH! The Sprout Fund is an awesome nonprofit organization supporting innovative ideas and grassroots community projects that are catalyzing change in Pittsburgh. Through its programs and activities, Sprout enriches the Pittsburgh region’s vitality by engaging citizens, amplifying voices, supporting creativity and innovation, and cultivating connected communities. They also help with including Pittsburgh's streets with many of the murals you see around town.
The Sprout Fund says about Hothouse:
The Sprout Fund’s 7th annual Hothouse summer benefit will be held on Saturday, August 29th at Walnut Capital’s new Bakery Square development on Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh's East End.

Hothouse is The Sprout Fund’s annual benefit and showcase event. The event serves as a stage to present a sampling of some of the innovative projects and emerging leaders of successful community initiatives supported by Sprout over the past year. Held annually at unique development sites, the event celebrates the organization’s accomplishments and features live music and performances, food and drink by Pittsburgh favorites, a silent auction, and a VIP reception.
