From Post-GazetteNOW:Pittsburgh Center for the Arts is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its Artist of the Year award with an exhibit and auction of works donated by past recipients of the honor.You can view and bid on the pieces for sale that are currently on exhibit right now! Here are a few of my handpicked favorites:
All 38 of the pieces on view, plus seven video works, will be sold at the end of the run, and proceeds will be used to start an endowment for future recipients.
The show, titled AUGERE from the Latin verb meaning to strengthen, is on view now through Aug. 30 at the PCA (6300 Fifth Ave). The auction will take place after a light dinner on Aug. 31 at 6 p.m.
