UPDATE (June 11):
I found an article in Pop City that gives a bit more of a description. From Pop City:
In conceiving the show’s framework, guest curator Jesse Hulcher invited artists to submit works which find them “faking it” in one way or another. From the hyper-ironic and transcendently playful to the extremely emotional and shamelessly self-indulgent, the resulting works tackle the limitations of the media, the opposing forces of the authentic and inauthentic, and the notion of virtual versus actual identity.

A conceptual artist who works in video, sound, sculpture, performance, and installation, Hulcher has exhibited internationally in galleries and museums, on television, and in the homes of Internet-surfers across the globe. Smoke & Mirrors represents his foray into the curatorial process.
