The impressionistic blobs of color from local artist Mark McLaughlin are addicting to look at. I like how simple the paintings look, yet when you stare at them longer, you begin to realize the thought that went into the composition and layers. Without even seeing the paintings in person you can picture the thick brush he uses and just puts so much paint on that it gives the painting an almost 3 dimensional feel because of the thick globs of paint.
