Animation BC (Before Computers) at the Art Institute

An awesome show is opening on May 13th at 5pm at the Art Institute that includes some very cool animation-related pieces. This looks like a fantastic opportunity to learn and view some historic artifacts from animation history!

From the promotion card:

A collection of a century of animation art and artifacts including original works such as Gertie the Dinosaur (the first animated character circa 1909), original notes to Walt Disney and an original animation desk from Disney's Hyperion Studio, story baords, movie posters, pan paintings and a collection of production cels and sketches from the most popular 2D animated characters from film, television, literature and commercials and products.
